Looks like Automakers have found a new source of revenue. If they keep it up there will be a new market for 3rd party hardware/software What goes around comes around. SNO link

Hmmm... and this strategy worked out so well for MS when they suggested a few years ago that you might have to rent windows. They do it with office 365 but I don't know how successful they have been at selling it.

Anyone that has an iPhone doesn't pay attention to the news anyhow...
iPhone X breaks when dropped from waist level, iPhone 8 has some bad batteries that make the phone self destruct, Apple slowed down older devices to force members to upgrade then try to explain it is to save the batteries and offer to disable that "feature" in newer versions since they were caught red handed. Now this...
Not to mention the newer iPhones haven't quite caught up technology wise to the latest Androids... They are even with my old Note 5 for most things... My Note 8 has Face recognition, finger print recognition, voice recognition, iris recognition and you can tie security to enable the device if a specific bluetooth device is connected. I currently have mine enabled for my car, smart watch or bluetooth speaker. It also has a similar 2 camera setup as the iPhone 8.
